Flash rename - rename ALL files including the extension. . The opening review so call "editor review" is wrong! I doubt the reviewer has actually try the application by himself or just simply write an review based on the name of the application?! Flash renamer is not renamer for flash only. The "Flash" means fast. It is a powerful renamer tool to rename any files! You can even change the extention of the file, capitalization of the file name etc. I have been using this tool for more than 5 years.

Great program - NOTHING to do with Flash video!. The opening review is entirely misleading. Flash Renamer is an application for renaming any and ALL files on a PC. I've used it quite extensively to rename archives, images, documents and so forth. The level of customisation available to you during it's use is very extensive - but very intuitive - and as such, I've always been able to do some moderately complex file renaming operations with very little effort.Flash Renamer is not Freeware, however, so if you're going to be using it for a prolongued period, purchasing the product is encouraged. There ARE free alternatives (which from what I've seen aren't quite as nice, though they are perfectly capable), which is really the only reason that I'd even consider alternatives.At just shy of $20 + VAT (or £15-16 inc. VAT for those in the UK who are used to VAT being already included in the quoted price), it's moderately expensive for a shareware program that you're not likely to be using on a day-to-day basis - but as a piece of software, it's a quality product. Pros: Great batch file renaming application (ANY files).Tons of flexibility.Very intuitive and aesthetically pleasing interface.The best software I've used for this purpose. Cons: There are freeware alternatives which would be adequate to most people's requirements.Advertised price should specify that it excludes VAT.
